The learning company AMS

Apprentices Patrick Johnsen and Eirik Heggenes Anuglen

The motor mechanic profession is struggling with recruitment. This is a challenge for companies like AMS. We are therefore very pleased that we are able to attract talented and interested young people as apprentices, this year as in previous years.

AMS is a member of "Opplæringskontor for industrifag i Rogaland (OFIR). They have been a good partner for us for a long time and are helpful and aware of our need for recruitment and long-term competence building.

As an apprentice company, we take responsibility for training young people to become qualified skilled workers. They follow our experienced mechanics on the job and learn how to take care of health, safety and the environment in the workplace. They gain experience both in the workshop and at customer sites. Through courses, they obtain certificates that enable them to work in a good and safe way.

We currently have two apprentices in the motor mechanic trade at AMS. Patrick Johansen came to us from another company this summer. He has completed one year of his apprenticeship and has one year left before he can take the professional test. Eirik Heggenes Anuglen joined us recently. He is from Husnes and moved here to start a 2-year apprenticeship program.

AMS is looking to take on an apprentice in logistics. If this is something you might be interested in, please contact logistics manager Endre Johnsen(ej@anlegg-marine.no).
