New Department Manager in Anlegg og Marine Service AS Bergen/Ågotnes

On May 2, 2022, Bjørn Erik Sissener took on the role as Head of Department Bergen/Ågotnes at Anlegg og Marine Service.

His background is from the navy and over twenty years in the offshore industry. He grew up in Arendal and moved to Bergen to continue his education at the Naval Academy. Bjørn Erik and his wife, Kristin, live in Mathopen. They have three grown-up children and four grandchildren with whom they spend much of their free time.

Bjørn Erik says:

In January this year, I received an exciting offer from Anlegg og Marine Service (AMS) to take on the role of department manager in Bergen at Ågotnes.

AMS is a sustainable business whose motto is to take care of what we have. Our sustainability promise is to help ensure that machines and associated equipment last and work - for a long time. With this motto and a focus on expertise, reliability and experience, AMS is contributing to the green shift and the circular economy.

Ågotnes is and will remain an important base with the existing activity and the future Port of Bergen. The Bergen region has a total of over 220,00 annual port calls. This places us at the core of the maritime, marine and petroleum-related activity with our location at Ågotnes. With our partner Sotra Contracting (SOCON), we have the opportunity to provide complementary maritime repair and maintenance services at Ågotnes.

I look forward to meeting new and existing AMS customers in the Bergen area. We welcome new and existing customers to AMS's new premises at Bleivassvegen 105 in Ågotnes.
