Testbench for new technology

During March and April 2022, the Anlegg & Marine (AMS) dynamometer has been used by clients for verifying a new technology for reduced emission of greenhouse gases and decreasing fuel consumption. The intention of the test has been to measure and verify reductions in emissions and fuel at different engine loads in realistic conditions.

One of our long-standing customers involved in this project recommended AMS a facilitator for the test. Once we got involved, we started planning for execution. Along with providing facilities, the dynamometer and a CAT 3516B engine, we have organized rental and setup of flow meters, fire-fighting equipment, as well as necessary chemicals and gases. As the test was conducted at our facility, we also held the role as overall HSE responsible.

The project has proven AMS' ability to host and execute advanced testing of new and novel technology. We have a team of proficient engine mechanics and possess vast experience in project management and execution. Our dynamometer can handle engine output up to 1900kw, and we are able to provide a maritime diesel engine for testing and verification.

New and existing customers are welcome to contact us related to their needs for testing and verification of products and solutions in our test-cell/dynamometer
