AMS is looking for an engine mechanic
We are looking for people who have a professional understanding of the motor industry and who can create satisfied customers.
Duties of engine mechanic:
Work independently with engine/gearbox overhauls.
Good knowledge of the use of diagnostic tools and computer programs.
Good knowledge of troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems.
Be able to perform work inside our workshop or at customer sites whether domestic, offshore or overseas.
Plan jobs, find tools, make necessary parts orders.
Have operational responsibility for the safety and quality of the work performed.
Ensure that deadlines are met.
Education:
Vocational certificate in mechanical/machine/engine or similar, but not a prerequisite.
Requirements for the job holder:
Be outgoing and polite.
Structured and tidy.
Norwegian written and spoken at native speaker level.
Be able to communicate in written and spoken English.
Class B driver's license.
Desirable qualifications:
Truck driver's license.
Certificate for overhead crane.
Valid offshore certificate.

Anlegg og Marine Service was established in 1985. The company has workshops in Tananger and Ågotnes. The main activity is sales and service of Cummins, Caterpillar, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Onan, Detroit, MTU and Mitsubishi diesel engines. Repairs are carried out in the company's own workshop and on board ships, offshore installations and land-based equipment locally and internationally. There are 25 employees in the company, which had a turnover of NOK 70 million in 2020. The company is known for its high level of service. We are looking for mechanics with diagnostic skills for our department in Tananger.
